HospoJobs ("we", "us", "our") is the data controller for personal data collected through the HospoJobs platform. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data in accordance with the Law on Personal Data Protection of Montenegro (Zakon o zastiti podataka o licnosti) and applicable EU data protection standards.
1. What We Collect
Job seekers:
- Name, email address, phone number
- CV and cover letter content
- Work history, skills, qualifications
- Job preferences (role type, location, salary expectations)
- Profile photo (optional)
Recruiters and employers:
- Name, email address, phone number
- Company name, registration details, billing information
- Job listing content
All users:
- IP address, browser type, device information
- Pages visited, actions taken, timestamps
- Cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Policy)
2. How We Use Your Data
- To operate the Platform and provide our services (matching seekers with jobs, processing applications)
- To create and manage your account
- To send job alerts and notifications you have opted into
- To process payments for recruiter services
- To improve the Platform through analytics and usage patterns
- To prevent fraud, abuse, and enforce our Terms of Service
- To comply with legal obligations
3. Legal Basis for Processing
We process your personal data under the following lawful bases:
- Contract: Processing necessary to provide the service you signed up for (account management, job applications, listings)
- Legitimate interests: Improving the Platform, preventing fraud, analytics, and direct marketing to existing users (with opt-out)
- Consent: Where you have opted in to marketing emails, job alerts, or optional cookies
- Legal obligation: Where we are required to retain or disclose data by law
4. Data Sharing
We share your data only in the following circumstances:
- With employers: When you apply for a job, your application (name, email, CV, cover letter) is shared with the relevant employer or recruiter
- Service providers: We use trusted third parties for hosting, payment processing (Stripe), email delivery (Resend), and file storage (Cloudflare). These providers process data on our behalf under data processing agreements
- Legal requirements: Where required by law, regulation, or legal process
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
5. Data Retention
- Active accounts: We retain your data for as long as your account is active
- Closed accounts: Core account data is deleted within 30 days of account closure. Some data may be retained for up to 6 years where required for legal, tax, or fraud prevention purposes
- Job applications: Application data is retained for 12 months after the position is filled or closed, unless the employer deletes it sooner
- Analytics data: Anonymised usage data may be retained indefinitely
6. Your Rights
Under Montenegrin data protection law, you have the following rights:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data
- Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Restriction: Request that we limit how we process your data
- Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests or direct marketing
- Withdraw consent: Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time

7. Cookies

8. International Transfers
Your data may be stored and processed outside of Montenegro (for example, on servers in the European Union or United States). Where data is transferred internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms to protect your data.
9. Children
HospoJobs is not intended for anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child under 16 has created an account, please contact us and we will delete the account promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or through a notice on the Platform. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
